Matt completed a Personal and Business Coaching course with Barefoot Coaching in early 2023 and is working towards a Post Graduate Certificate with the University of Chester. Drawing on 16 years regular and 3 years reserves service experience as an officer in the British Army, Matt offers personal, team and leadership coaching.
What is coaching?
Coaching is partnership (defined as an alliance, not a legal business partnership) between the Coach and the Client in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires the client to maximise personal and professional potential. It is designed to facilitate the creation/development of personal, professional or business goals and to develop and carry out a strategy/plan for achieving those goals. A safe space with Matt as your thinking partner to explore a personal or business challenge over the course of 45 – 60 minutes.

I feel comfortable opening up to you, however I wasn't anticipating just how candid I would be during our session. I felt completely relaxed and comfortable in the knowledge that I wouldn't be judged for any of my answers. This enabled me to get so much more from our session.
Rather than talking over me or rushing, you provided me with the space to fully externalise my thoughts. Quite often I found when you gave me silence, I felt prompted to provide an even more honest response. This was hugely effective and worked really well for me.
I felt like I was challenged when I needed to be, and in an appropriate way. Particularly on feeling 'selfish' in the pursuit of purpose. I found this really effective and helped to challenge some long held beliefs.
